Here's what you do:
Write an article about a current event, following the format we use on this site as best you can (including pictures and so on).
Post it.
It will be reviewed and rated by staff as well as other forum members.
If your article is good, you will be given a chance to contribute articles to the site. If you continue to do well, you will be allowed to become a regular writer.
The price of an article is $14.88. That's for a regular length article.
NOTES:
The article does not have to necessarily be an actually current event. It can be from a while ago. The point is for it to be an example of your skills, to be judged.
You can also submit topical op-eds, or articles on history and so on. Though those will not be given priority in review.
