I think it is a good strategy to moderate the content & keep it limited to topics & comments focused on the mission of DS & Anglin. This is not a democracy, or a "free speech" site.
One thing that drew me to DS as a breath of fresh air was the fact Andrew has always maintained discipline in pointedly avoiding getting bogged down in "movement drama" or trivial disputes, even when many of the big names in the AltRight have personally attacked or dismissed him at one time or another. By staying above the fray, and focusing on the big picture, Daily Stormer successfully outshined or outlasted the competition. Now, pretty much everyone recognizes the genius behind the DS propaganda strategy. Those who continued their personal attacks are now mere footnotes in our history, and not taken seriously. The tactic of intolerance towards personality clashes & infighting is trickling down to all of us, and creating a much healthier, cooperative, and far-sighted movement.
It is excellent we have this forum for active members of the movement to communicate. But, as pointed out in the OP, most readers are not actual "members" of the AltRight or WN movement. I'm active with a number of groups or orgs in my area, but for some reason a lot of the people I've met in the Book Club were not that type. They are individuals from all walks of life, many successful professionals, who only read the main site.
I seriously believe that many in mainstream business and politics are secret readers of the site, and come to the main site on a regular basis, and are inevitably influenced by what they read. This is backed by the extremely high numbers of monthly visits. We don't currently have 4 million actual hardcore nazis in our movement...but if we stay the course, WE WILL!
