Makes me wish I still had my bass.I never got really good at playing bass but I am passable and could fill in for any local band at a bar gig.
It's finding the right people to play with that I am struggling with.
I need to get more gigs under my belt .
Two more bass players on DS, so myself included makes 5 (SO FAR).
What axe model do you guys use?
4 string Precision strung with flatwounds.
My last bass was a star body Jackson.
Can't say I'm a huge fan of the Precision bass. My hands are quite small and the P Bass can literally be a handful. Prefer a Jazz with the smaller neck.
Ever seen a Japanese Precision? P Bass body with a Jazz neck, an absolute pleasure to play.
I switched over to electric.I play an old school BC Rich platinum Warlock.I have like 10 or so songs, guitar and lyrics that I wrote.
Is that similar shape to a Washburn Dime guitar, or a Boosty Colins Star Bass?
I take it from the BC Warlock you are a Metal player?
I had a Fender precision years ago and sold it for an amp.I still have a beater bass POS.mainly a strat player now+effects.
I got an Ibanez K5 korn Signature Bass. I have had it for about 10 year and for all it's been through it's still in good condition.
Bought a Musicman Stingray 5 and have hardly touched it.
Dream bass has to be a Warwick Thumb 5. Touch on the pricey side though. £4000 new from Germany.
Was very similar to this, except white. And a bass. And yeah.I play death metal and sludge metal.
That's a cross between a Dime and an explorer shape.
When I read star I first thought of this.
Lol,that's very pretty.A bit unwieldy for my tastes, though.
Favorite bass amps?
Bootsy Collins Warwick star.
This is an area I am unfamiliar with.
Going by price it would be Mesa Boogies but I'm sure there are other competitive manufacturers out there.
Definitely breaking out the Maiden after watching this.
