The driver side airbags will always deploy whether there is weight on the seat or not, seat belt engaged or not, vehicle in gear or not etc.

If there is no weight on the seat for the pressure sensor to detect an occupant why would the airbag need to deploy?
Most cars rely on the pressure sensor in the seat to detect an occupant and thusly determine whether the airbags should deploy.

I read ended a car several years ago at about 5 or 10 mph and both front airbags deployed. Doesn't take much.

Absolutely. We have some great leaders in this movement. I think the best are right here on this forum. I'm sure they'll plan future events on private property. All it would take is one land owner friendly to our movement with 80 acres he'd let us use, and we could have something huge. It would be our cause's equivalent to woodstock.

However, I don't think we should abandon altogether the practice of public rallies. It would be like conceding. Not sure what to make of the Challenger crash yet, but from reading accounts of events prior to that we literally did nothing wrong.
