Ford fiesta built in mexihole.
God only knows where the next focus will be built.
Hardly American anymore in my opinion.
If you do go that way don't buy one with an automatic, tons of problems from them in the fiesta/focus cars.
I think Chevy small cars are rebadged Korean cars(or the motors are).
Stay away from volksfaggens, reliability not a feature available on them.
Not much to choose from anymore really.
I have noticed alot more Mercedes rolling around now than I used to. Cheapest model has same expensive problems(like electric struts) as the expensive models.

Side note, alot of Japanese(and German) car built right here in the USofGay.

The Mazda MX-5 was redone a year or so ago and is barely recognizable. Obviously a niche vehicle. Like with the BRZ and FR-S/86, people have problems paying Mustang money for something smaller and slower, despite separate charms. The rumor was that Fiat may launch a real deal fixed hardtop 124 version, and I'll find a way to get one if they do. Anyway, some people claim that the Fiat Abarth, the tuner 500, is actually good. I'd normally shy away from Italian anything, but who knows?

Why not a Mustang, Camaro, or Challenger? Not real small, but not big, either, and smaller engine versions get pretty good mileage.
