Ive never heard that but it very well could be true, makes sense anyways. Now im sure they are mostly registered as SUV or Suburban depending on state. I think the subaru Baja is considered an SUV in most states.

For style as a second vehicle, sure, but even a 20 year old car as a daily driver takes extreme devotion and energy. The reliability and performance is dwarved by modern econoboxes in most cases.
