Cheap ass gaming for cheap ass gamers

I just bought a PS3. Never owned one years ago. I got it for $135. The first slim model ps3. I also bought some games.

Which is the point of this thread. The games on the PS3 are dirt cheap. Some of the prices make Steam sales look pathetic. If you own a PS3 still and didn't get many games for it then they are super cheap.

As much as I love my gaming PC you just can't get certain games on the PC. Games like the God of War series, Shadow of the Colossus and many other PS3 exclusives. Also some games just work better on consoles cause of how the industry started leaning heavily towards consoles at the time.

Like I said the console itself was a bit pricy. But the games are really cheap. If you want to play games on a budget get a PS3 and buy some games. I believe I got MGS 4 for $5, God of War III for $5, God of War origins for $13, Resistance Fall of Man for $5. The most expensive game was the Ico and Shadow of The Colossus collection which was $17. That's two games in one though. I don't think Steam ever does deals that good.

I didn't look into the Xbox 360 cause I am not interested in any of the games on that system. But I am guessing it would be about as cheap as the PS3 system and games are.

For most games on the PS3 you can buy a used disc copy and it works (unlike on the PC). I've picked up some nice titles for $3 or $5 each at resale places.

The 2DS is pretty cheap or the 'new' 2DS XL, the games aren't ruined by Jewish bullshit so if you enjoy Nintendo games or you aren't a shit parent and you won't let your kid use it 24/7 it's a good choice.

I bought a 3DS a while back. The games are kind of pricy for it though. None of the games I bought for it were under $10.

I get the feeling it's because there just aren't as many copies of the games because either,

The system isn't yet irrelevant
Nintendo fanboys never trade in games
They don't sell many copies compared to Xbox and PlayStation

I think it's that a lot of people buy the games and Nintendo fans don't trade stuff in. A lot of people sell games on Ebay these days. But it's no cheaper than buying them from an actual store that sells them in my experience. People want just as much for them.

If they didn't sell well the prices would be cheaper. Also the ps3 owners flooded the market with their systems and games when the ps4 came out so I am sure that is behind the cheap prices for the games.

I have used a few emulators. The only ones I have ever had any luck with was the ZSNES and a simulator for the Genesis/Mega Drive. Most play like garbage. I tried running some emulators on my DS with one of those DSTwo plus cards and they emulation was pretty bad. A lot of sound distortion in some games which killed it for me since the music is part of the nostalgia.

The Atari ST emulators I used were literally perfect. There's a lot of cracked games available too.

I never used Atari emulators. It's good that they worked, cause as I said lot's of emulators can be very bad.

It's a fairly simple point, really-- Obamacare was a set of regulations on the health insurance industry that made health insurance: 1. Much more expensive, for 2. Less coverage (higher deductibles).

This is not disputable on the facts. Just do a basic internet search to find out what's happened to insurance premiums over the past few years, read something besides the New York Times, or talk to anyone who's actually had to buy health insurance on the individual market in the last few years in the US.

But hey, not everyone is capable of learning, or of empirically-based reasoning. No need get defensive about it. You may carry on with the feelz now.

If that's even true I'm guessing those games aren't worth playing. But 99.9% of my gaming is racing simulations and there isn't a single one of those that wouldn't melt the processor of a console with a full field of cars.

I'm so anti-console I shouldn't even be in this thread lol

I said work better. Not look better. I also have a gaming PC which would put any console to shame.

The PC gets a lot of console ports that work better on the consoles. Take Dark Souls for instance. It's a sloppy PC port, the game was meant to be played on consoles. Yes you can patch it and fix some issues. But there is only so much you can do. I bought the first Dark Souls game on Steam a while back and it's a shitty port. Where as a game like MGS 5 plays great on the PC.
