My actual votes generally go to movies based on true stories, especially war movies..

Lone Survivor, American Sniper, Kilo Two Bravo, Hacksaw Ridge and Schindler's List are in stark contrast to fictional movies where there are magical niggers everywhere!! In these movies, all the hero's are white. Probably good hero/role model movies maybe.. Especially Schindler's List, Oy vey what a movie..

Of course, you only need go back a few years and all movies - the vast majority anyway - were implicitly white. (Mainstream Hollywood movies, that is.)

If you like the Waltons, I highly, HIGHLY recommend reading "The Homecoming" and "Spencer's Mountain" by Earl Hamner, Jr. You can see the characters that became the Waltons. They're almost perfect novels.
