So the "IS4 love and peace" means "I stand for love and peace". I am talking about the mystery kilt at the Boulder rally; we had words, you know who you are mysterious kilt with the sign about the love and the peace. I think I know who you are too, I am not going to name names; but you have a bit of a rep...
Let's talk about love and peace. I lack a philosophic mind, frankly. Not big on the love of wisdom. It is not that I am uninterested in philosophy, quite the contrary; I feel that my lack of emotional attachment to knowledge grants me an open mind that can take in information regardless of how it jives with my lifestyle. Love is an emotion. It is as valid as any emotion. My feelings right now about philosophy are not defined by doctrines or ideology. We are way past arguments at this point; right now my feeling is hellbent on crushing the left for what they have done to me, personally. To hell with the love of wisdom.
That said, love is a fine thing; I am a lover, I might not be a smart man, but I know what love is. We all do; it is one of the foundation emotions, I would go so far as to say that if you do not feel love at all then you have a serious mental health problem. Love is deeply personal, and thus can not be summarized or even really defined here other than as a profound feeling of affection. The word can describe how a boy feels toward his parents, how a husband feels towards his wife; how a soldier feels about his comrades in the foxhole.
Peace is more problematic; I personally value tranquility over peace, however peace is part and parcel of tranquility. If you are asking what Rodney King was,
"Can't we all just get along?"
The answer is flat out no. It is not practical to live in harmony right now. Not for me, anyway. You can you if you want. You have my permission, I assume that means a lot to you Kilt guy; wherever you are. Peace is the other side of war, in my mind one does not exist without the other. War is the only logical choice to make when peace is on the line; defensive violence is acceptable and laudable in my opinion.
I get your message, dude; I really think I do anyway, you are trying to influence history in a way where fewer people die and such... it is commendable. Naive, perhaps; but brave. This one Kilt armed only with a sign seemed to have no hesitation to approach our side during the free speech event in Boulder. That gained him a great amount of respect from me personally, I can not speak for anyone else but nobody hates you for it I am pretty sure...
Right. Hate. We should talk about hate too. Hate is a valid emotion. Emotions are not voluntary, they are part of our decision making process itself. I am a member of what the SPLC calls a hate group. This is a fancy way of saying I am sort of friends with some people that might have made themselves some enemies. A "hate group" makes no more sense than a "love group"; what are you going to do, get a bunch of folks to emote really, really hard and try to accomplish .... something?
Hatred and love are like war and peace, one can not exist without the other. I love what I love, and I hate that which harms that which I love. In terms of race, do I have the emotional energy to hate on all of the Jews? Not really. Hatred is a really intense feeling for me, a sort of lingering anger that never quite subsides except when I rectify the situation...
I suppose that is the reason why this is controversial at all; because I want to rectify the situation.
