Unicorn Riot is probably my favorite news-source; the Daily Stormer is good, but it is not really a news media outlet. Fake news is a thing; and for all their faults Unicorn Riot's stuff is always based on a true story, it is one of the only media outlets that covered the Dakota access Pipeline thing for example. Also, they have style. I saw a Unicorn Riot video today that pumped me up and I like it when the news gets me hyped. By now most of you have already seen it. For those living under a rock, here it is;
(UR made the DS which is a big deal; but it is still a gay name, why not call it "Unicorn Stampede"?)
As for the content of the video itself I thought that it is overall positive; this so called "haymakers" idea is focused upon the broader notion of self defense, and I think that is a really healthy instinct. Practicing the fundamentals of self defense means that you do not want to be a victim, and that is a big step forward. I for one feel that what they are doing is commendable. Not only does this conditioning strengthen core muscles, but there may well be a profound psychological effect as well; a renewed sense of self worth and confidence.
Some critics claim that their statement constitutes a declaration of intent; that they are not really about defending themselves, but are in fact openly training to punch a Nazi in the face. I for one appreciate that they included a bit about how they are not looking for trouble, they just want to be able to defend themselves. That is really important. As for banning cops; the police would not really benefit from joining the low-T legion, and as for right wing groups we have our own training already, so we do not mind. I do not mind, anyway. I am pretty sure KRKRoenen hates you, and maybe Azzmador; but Azzmador is open minded so you might be able to persuade him....
