I think it's great that DS has become a reliable and current source for breaking news. There are some great writers out there, and I think we all have a good sense of what news stories are relevant to other stormers.
An unfortunate side effect of this, however, is that ocassaionally 2 or 3 stormers will do news posts on the same breaking event, resulting in multiple discussion threads. Would be great if the site had a way to combine these threads... Maybe have a mod choose the best written OP and then lock or delete the others and move all comments under one thread.
I'm not a web guy, so I don't know how feasible what I'm suggesting is, but it's just a thought.
