Best way to cook trout:
Season the cavity with butter, salt, pepper, and a pinch of granulated garlic (I like to also add orange slices, or my FAVORITE, pineapple rings).
Wrap in heavy duty aluminum foil, and seal it up like a burrito.
Place directly on to hot coals or wood fire. Don't cover.
Depending on size, cook each side 4-6 minutes.
Remove from coals, unwrap, and enjoy. The skin will stick to the foil, and after cutting the tail off with a fork, the bones will pull out cleanly.
