We've been experiencing increasing chaos on the forums, which has led to a drop in post quality and a lot of good posters leaving the site due to not being able to take it anymore.
We need to clean this place up. "Unlimited free speech" on a website actually just allows loud and annoying posters to silence the speech of others by drowning them out. Threads are also being destroyed by flame wars, making meaningful discussion impossible.
As such, I have created a list for the moderators, instructing them on bannings.
This list can also be found in the site's FAQ.
Please understand that I am not a moderator, and I am very busy running the main site and dealing with all sorts of other things. Do not ever contact me with complaints about site moderation, under any circumstances. I would love to help you, but I just simply do not have the time. Right now I am basically on the computer (or my phone) 14-18 hours a day, due to writers quitting and various other problems I am dealing with. Forum moderation is not a task that can be added onto this, which is why I have forum moderators.
NOTE: It is the duty of any forum member to use the "flag" function to report any of these behaviors to the moderation team.
THE LIST
7 Day Suspension
Commenting on a thread without having read it. Claiming to have read the thread but not understood it will generally not be considered an acceptable excuse.
Creating a religious thread, whether to promote or attack that religion (This only includes white religions such as all forms of Christianity, neo-paganism, Mormonism, Creativity, etc. You are allowed to create threads to insult or attack non-white religions such as Judaism, Islam or Hinduism, and also cults, such as Jehovah's Witnesses.)
Creating a thread which attacks or spreads drama about any other pro-white website or pro-white personality (this includes figures and websites who are universally hated). This only applies to specifically pro-white individuals and groups, "Alt-Lite" figures who would be classified as "civic nationalists" are allowed to be attacked.
Creating a "x group is not really white" thread, or starting an "x group is not white" debate within any thread" (this includes historic Christendom, as well as certain white populations in South America; it excludes Mestizos, Albanians, Lebanese, Persians, high-caste Indians and other groups that people claim are white).
Posting hardcore pornography.
Attempting to cleverly avoid the no violence rule by making posts that are "technically" not illegal ("I hope x illegal act does/doesn't happen to x person," "x person deserves x illegal act," etc.) This includes posting meme images of specific individuals being murdered.
Linking to sites which allow for illegal downloads, including torrent sites.
3 Day Suspension
Flaming (all people involved in the flame war will get the same suspension, whether they started it or not - if someone starts flaming or insulting you, report them instead of responding).
Ungentlemanly behavior (a pattern of rudeness or name-calling).
Derailing a thread to argue about religion (all people involved in the argument will get the same suspension, whether they started it or not).
Derailing a thread to argue about anything (the difference between "argument" and "debate" should be intuitively understood).
Posting softcore pornography (including MET Art-type "examples of Aryan beauty").
Posting "gore" (this includes mutilated bodies of any race, suicide victims, people with their heads blown off, aborted fetuses and mutilated animals; this includes acts of mutilation of whites by nonwhites). "Gore" content can be linked to, but with an explicit warning.
Randomly accusing another poster of being a Jew (if you think someone is a Jew, report them, and their account will be reviewed by a mod).
Anti-social behavior.
Engaging and arguing with an anti-social or ungentlemanly poster, instead of reporting them (if a certain number of users report an account, they will be blocked from posting - the only response you should make to an anti-social poster is to encourage others to report their account).
Posting obvious bait threads.
Continued poor quality posting.
NOTE: Creating a new account to avoid a suspension or to come on and complain about a suspension (ban aversion) results in a deletion of the new account and a 10 day ban added to the original account that was suspended.
NOTE II: The site's publisher, Andrew Anglin, is not involved in moderation, and he is a busy person, so if you email him personally to complain about site moderation, he may decide to involve himself in moderation and add ten days or more onto your suspension.
Permanent Ban
Promoting specific acts of violence.
Promoting or describing how to commit any illegal act (under American law), including vandalism, fraud, illegal weapons modification, the purchase of illegal drugs, etc.
Posting homosexual pornography.
Posting interracial pornography.
Calling for violent revolution against the government.
A repeated pattern of disrespecting the forum culture.
A repeated pattern of anti-social behavior.
A repeated pattern of claiming that the Administrator of the site or other site staff is a Jew or a secret agent, or repeatedly insulting site staff.
Having been suspended multiple times for any of the 7 and 3 day ban rules.
Spamming for another website or trying to sell some product. You are of course allowed to post links to other sites, and you are even allowed to make threads about products you are selling, but you are not allowed to use this site as an advertising platform.
NOTE: None of these suspensions or bans can be appealed.
NOTE II: Though this is intended to be a comprehensive list, it is possible to be suspended or banned for reasons which are not on this list.
