Yes, you can say that, but if someone responds to you negatively, then you reply negatively, you both get suspended.

So I don't really see how that statement could not respond in a flame war which will result in all included being suspended.

I didn't create these social dynamics. I simply noticed that they are destroying the ability for anyone to have a productive discussion about anything.

My preference would be a situation where everyone acts like a respectful, gentlemanly, grown adult, but that just isn't in the cards.

All that does is create animosity between posters who then carry that over into other threads.

I am basically a web forum sociologist. Someday, where there is not more pressing work at hand, I would like to write a book about it.

The solution for people who want to discuss religion is private threads. The solution for people who want to spend hours on end arguing about religion for no reason is to join that discord room weev mentioned, or perhaps to just kill themselves.

Conversely, they could start playing freemium sim games on their phones. It's a much more healthy hobby.

I'd love to find somewhere to discuss CI at length as I've been reading more about it -- fascinating arguments.

It seems like a lot of people are too insecure in their own belief systems to have a rational conversation about religion. Whether you believe in this god or that god is irrelevant with regards to the historical ramifications of the CI theories.

Maybe after things settle down a bit we'll convince weev or AA to make a sub forum that explores these issues for those of us that are spiritually minded.
