No spoilers for those who care.

So after waiting like 9 fucking months and a decent build up, S7 E01 starts by giving us sweet fuck all!
1 hour of nothing this episode. literally nothing.
You call call it a 1 hour long "previously on game of thrones" episode.

really fucking shit to be honest.
Oh and now women are the strong characters and the men are naturally taking a back seat for female empowerment.

I hate Game of Thrones.

I love Berserk though.

If you don't know what Berserk is here.

The manga is excellent and the '97 series is also pretty good.

In this scene....

His former best friend (Griffith) basically decided to sacrifice the entire army that he led (Band of the Hawk) and raped Guts' girlfriend in front of him (he was pinned down by a demon, decided to literally rip his left arm off because he's not a cuck.) Then some flying demon popped in out of nowhere, pinned him down again, and shoved its talon in his right eye, blinding him.

Is Berserk fucked up?

Yes, yes it is.

Is it better than Game of Thrones? Certainly. The manga and the '97 series are pretty solid. This scene is from the 3rd movie though.

Game of Thrones is gay/Jewish/garbage.

I liked Berserk but in my opinion the further away from the Golden Age arc it got the more meandering and more nihilistic the story became. Then Miura ditching the series for Idolmaster happened, then the boat, and then even more Idolmaster and now I can't be bothered to care.

Agreed. But I still think post Golden-Age is pretty good. The Black Swordsman arc was pretty good, and the Hawk of the Millenium Empire arc was pretty good.

Guts finally got off the boat, and the story progressed a bit....

But recently there's a hiatus so.... at the rate the story's going I'm not even sure if it's going to be finished tbh.

He's probably spending so much time away from it because he doesn't know how to finish it. Honestly given the tone of the series it's hard to imagine it ending without a total party kill.

I watched the movies (I think there are 3 parts?)...pretty much the only comic stuff I've ever watched because I usually don't like it, but a friend brought it along and I was like fuck it. I have to say those were amazing, storywise and visually. Don't know about the series though.

And fuck GoT. I don't understand how anyone can be surprised it sucks, I has been shit since the start of the 2nd season.

I mean I always imagined the series ending more so with Guts and his party slowly gaining strength and there's a final showdown between Guts's party and the God Hand.

They defeat the God Hand, but at the cost of some people getting severely wounded and Guts finally defeats Griffith.

I personally think the ending will be positive to contrast the overall negative vibe of the series at the moment....

But that's just wishful thinking I suppose.

Who knows what will happen?

Personally I think Casca will go with Griffith, and Guts is probably going to end up with Farnese, and he's going to witness Casca get killed by Griffith, this is going to trigger Guts's rage and he's going to brutally kill Griffith.

That's my personal prediction long-term.

The manga/comics of Berserk is really good. If you ever happen to come across it at Barnes N Noble, and you have $15 to spare, give it a read. It's pretty good, and I like the fact that it's Eurocentric and has a good story with great world-building.

Not to mention Guts is a badass.

Unlike others on here I like GoT.

(To my surprise because I usually hate fantasy type stuff)

But this episode was a lackluster disappointment.

It lacked the grit and tension the series has always had until now.

A major stop in quality it seems. But I think it will get it back as the series progresses.

You know.... I still need to watch this anime series.

This and Boku No Hero Academia....

I've been WAY too busy with Assassination Classroom and One Piece. I'm already caught up on Gintama, but the anime is on hiatus until Fall.... and Death Note (Dub) and Bleach (Dub) I've already finished....

Though apparently the last arc of Bleach might finally get animated.... I'm going to be angry if they don't at least make an alternate ending, because IMO the manga ending for Bleach was trash.

How far are you in One Piece? I've been caught up for about 2 years now.

Where did you hear this from? I thought it'd never get animated. And yeah, the ending was retarded, but that was only because Shounen Jump made Kubo end it really abruptly for some reason. It was a dick move, really, because this series has been running for nearly 20 years and they just end it like that. Hopefully it does have an actual ending and not that bullshit though.
