I'm vegan for 2 years now, before that, I ate meat in almost every meal 6-7 times a day (I'm bodybuilder). Because of high meat diet I got high blood pressure and high levels of bad cholesterol, and they both are sign of future cardiovascular and heart disease.
I realize that and decided to change my meat based diet into the plant based diet. I became vegan and after 3 months, my high blood pressure and high cholesterol went down, now they are on normal levels. I feel great!
Before I went vegan, when I was meat eater, I was making fun of vegans and thinking they were stupid and crazy.
Heart disease is the no.1 killer in the West and it's also "disease of the fork". The animals we are killing and eating are in the end killing us slowly. Don't forget, Hitler was vegetarian.
In the past I experimented with various diets, from Paleo, to Keto, Chrono, Vegetarian and Vegan, and I can say that Vegan diet is the best.
