Yes.

Unless it is absolutely unavoidable - which as far as I can tell it hardly ever is. It is annoying when a woman starts doing that in public. It is like they are more interested in making a statement than actually needing to do it in public.

For what it's worth, I used a scarf and discreet nursing tops and it was fine. The apron thing can often scream "I am nursing" and advertise it, rather than downplay it. However, to each their own.

I use a muslin blanket for breastfeeding, they are nice and thin.......unfortunately i have to go to the car often because my babe eats like a little piggy and the snorting and slurping is very embarassing

Why is it so important to you? I just don't think women should be exposing themselves in public, that's all. Old European paintings of women breast feeding is not an argument. Anyway, I read some of the comments after I made my comment and found that many women here have done exactly as I suggested. You're getting all upset about something women here even said they don't have a problem with. Weird.

Because old European paintings is exactly the argument. Wether they choose to keep it private is entirely up to them. As is doing it in public. The reasons why some of them are forced to hide this celebration of life though are completly degenerate. If your morals can not withstand the sight of a mother feeding her child than you have none. That's why it's important to me.
