Perhaps if women are told they need to cover up they will subconsciously feel it's shameful and they will form a less positive opinion of breastfeeding. The reason I originally said women should cover up was not the act of breastfeeding itself. I'm very pro-motherhood and am very much in favor of the act which helps to form a special bond between mother and child. I don't think breastfeeding itself is shameful at all. I was opposed because of the breast itself, which is an erogenous zone which many men find visually erotic. I'm not much of a tit man myself but sometimes they can be quite visually stimulating. Basically it can make men who aren't their boyfriend or husband horny and I don't see that as a positive thing. Men have to struggle to get their minds off of sex so they can do important and productive things. It would be good if men could escape thoughts of sex when they leave their homes. Among lonely men, seeing women breastfeed can provoke thoughts of jealousy and depression. I am also opposed to women wearing short skirts in public and excessive public displays of affection.
