Good summary, but sorry, John Standing made an ERROR, contributing to the massive confusion surround the origins of the Jews and their current false claim to be Judahites and Israelites of the OT, and claim on Jerusalem and "The Holy Land" (actually cursed by God through Jeremiah and his 'broken bottle' kingdom). Modern Jews thrive on this ignorance and confusion.

Edom (Heb)/ Idumea (Greek) and Judah/Judea were 2 separate areas, the former to the SOUTH.

Ioudaios and Iudaeus are derived from from Judah/Judahite, Kingdom of Judah, which eventually became the province of 'Judea'. Tragically, the KJV also failed to distinguish between the TRUE Judahites and the FALSE Judahites (Edomite infiltrators Northwards and the mixed mongrel offspring--hated by God) The true Judahites became Christians and escaped (into Europe as our white ancestors: Kelts, Gauls, Skythians, Saxons, Normans, Vikings etc) the siege and fall of Jerusalem in AD 70.
