Recently been training with the Karambit (Southeast Asian knife) going to make it my primary concealed weapon. Been really getting into the combat with this little knife it has its drawbacks but I really enjoy the control you get over your opponent in a fight and the sheer brutality of it.

What do you carry on you?

Usually just carry a classic Buck 110 on a daily basis (I've got one of the heavier-duty models with the serrated back-edge and the larger blade, but I gave that to my wife to carry - she's ex-military so she can actually handle it fairly well, otherwise I wouldn't give her a weapon that could be taken away); can't go wrong. Unless you're in a more gloriously enriched area, but that's what the fixed-blade Bowie is for.

I keep a benchmade mini griptilian plain edge as my every day carry...I bought a neat looking spyderco but was disappointed...have had good experience with crkt knives as well...gave out a bunch of Gerber folder knives around Christmas time at work...guys liked them

Im am currently a fan or Zero Tolerance. Edc a 0700 (tanto folder) or a 0121 (spear point fixed) or both. Lol

When expendable income permits i usually will switch up brands. Ive owned several different brands over the years and ZT is by far the best ive had.

If i could ever justify the cost i would get a Treeman. Hands down best reviews ive heard personally from some real hard mrfr's. Specifically the Ultra Phalanx

Ive owned several Spyderco knives. Great blades but the quality seemed to have dropped drastically so i stopped buying them. The old AUS8 steel they use was impressive for its day but there are better materials now.

I like Kershaw knives alot. I have carried a Cryo for two years now. Good knife,not too expensive if I lose it,takes and holds a good edge. Great for hippie stabbin'.

For out and out bloodletting in a concealable package, the karambit definitely ranks among the best. I like the fighting tomahawk as well.

Spyderco are cheap shit. Look good in the glossy mags, but when you actually handle them they are lightweight cheap plasticy junk. Benchmade I find are probably the best.

I've carried a titanium handled Spyderco Military in S30V for 10 years . Cheap my ass , the lockup is as tight as the day I bought it . For fixed blades I like CPM 3V

I need to try making some knives. I made one attempt at it back about 30 years ago,and never finished the thing,which still annoys me.

If I try it again,I'm going to do it right:make a plan,gather the necessary materials,lay everything out,cut everything out,heat treat,assemble,and FINISH the thing.

I forgot about cold steel. I carried the old model of the recon 1 for 8 years and it never failed me. I dragged it across the honong stone so much the tanto point turned into more of a spear point. Lol

They make that blade in a 8.5" i think. The recon one xl. I want one pretty bad just for novelty. Lol

I've really gotten into that show Forged in Fire, there's something very enjoyable about seeing White men making shit. It's great to see there are still so many men dedicated to this ancient and noble craft.
