I have one too.
I took the thumb disc out and made a stainless tab that goes up at a 45 deg angle to screw in instead.

Yes thats it. That locking mechanism is the best of any folder ive owned. I cant beleive they discontinued it.

Edit= i still have that blade. Found a pic. Shes in rough shape these days. Lol

A screwdriver is better than a knife for fighting as its impossible to snap and the small surface area of the point and the straight shaft goes straight through a skull with no resistance.

I always wondered about the philips head on swiss army type folders. Man those things fit perfectly into your fist with the driver sticking out right between your middle and ring fingers. Haha

Tool sharpening i think is something every man needs to at least have some skill in. Especially with odd items. I can put a real nice edge on a blade with a chainsaw file, and they last a long time.

Also have several diff stones i use, my kitchen knives are razored.

You can only poke with a screwdriver. You can slash with a knife. Never seen a needle point or a razor edge on a screwdriver. An icepick would be more effective.

CCW is a real pain in my area, so is keeping an AK pistol ready to go in tha G-ride.

Yuge fan of the Benchmade Osborne knife. Carried one for years. Just recently got a smoking deal on a Microtec Ultratec OTF tanto, so far I'm impressed with the quality.

This is my current knife collection. The HK next to the medallions is my current EDC. It's very sturdy and heavy, but the assisted action is a little hard to get right. The medallions are my great grandfathers. The one on the left is confirmed to be authentic. The one on the right looks authentic, but does not have a stamp. It does however have a very rare sterling silver pin, so if it is authentic it is worth quite a bit.

And you are correct! The one on the right has some amazing craftsmanship , for sure!! including real ivory on the hand grip, and even some incredible etching on the steel of the blade However, there is no doubting true German Kraftwerk! Danke!
