I also want to note that I've read that some of you guys don't have a car, and you should. Cars are cheap as fuck right now, as is gas and it allows you to get off the dindu transport service. I want to offer assistance to anyone who might need some help with general auto repair and is interested in learning.
Some easy shit you should know how to do, not only to keep your vehicle in proper function, but to save lots of money and feel like a boss fixing your own stuff. This will be an essential skill when SHTF and carry over to when you need to mod-out and convert a combine into a zombie smasher. Seriously, there are Mexicans, Blacks, and Asians scrounging up parts all the time at the junkyard, so any Aryan should be able to pick this stuff up easily.
I'm talking about:
Fluids: Oil, Coolant, Transmission, Brake, Differential
Brakes/Wheels: Pads, Rotors, Calipers, Brake Lines, Bearings
Suspension: Ball Joints, Shocks, Sway Bars
Steering: Tie Rods, Power Steering
Fuel: Lines, Pumps, Filters
Electric: Alternator, Lights, Fuses, Battery, Wiring, Stereos, Sensors
Belt Drive: Belts, Tensioners, Water Pump, Timing Belt
AC: Compressor, Lines, Testing
This is just a fraction of it... I learned all this and more in the past couple years on my own just watching YouTube, reading the net, browsing AutoZone and online parts stores, and buying the book for my vehicle. Tools are super cheap from Harbor Freight and you can rent others from O'Reilly and AutoZone. Parts are available at these places and more online at RockAuto, eBay, etc.
Let me know in private message what you need help with, or if you're interested in watching/helping and we can setup an auto-clinic. Also, anyone else that may have similar or more experience feel free to chime in... I haven't done much body work, nor complete engine / transmission swaps but it doesn't seem too difficult. I understand that this could be a tricky subject since often the vehicle is immovable and would require working on it at your residence which you may not wish to divulge. I want to at least put this out there so once a trustworthy relationship is formed we can get into subjects like this.
