I actually wouldnt mind a busa, they are damn comfortable, fast as f, and you can pile on a shit ton of bags for tourning excursions.

I couldnt find a unraped used one for a resonable price tho so i stopped looking a few years ago.

That would be pretty good for settling. KTM's are great bikes and the Dukes are BA. I remember several years ago when the Super Duke came out, total BA bike. Its on my to buy list if i ever end up rich somehow. Lol

Bingo, like all European motors, beware what you are getting into: expensive parts, needy maintenance, complexity, and unstellar reliability. Great to ride, but make sure you're ready for the overall ownership experience.
And yeah, the BUSA (butt ugly speed accessory) suffers like most used sportbikes in that stock ones are virtually nonexistent. Good luck liking the DPO's customizations.

FZ07 but unrealistic beginner bike

no its not, a beginner could start with that no problem. very smooth engine with generous and linear low end torque delivery. if you are retarded and run it wide open all the time of course it have some serious performance if you push it...but thats not reaslly an issue because if you are geared to ride wide open while learning even a 300 wont do it.

the only thing is that with a fz07 after a couple of month you will start to discover more of the bike, the good old bike you are already used to. good all around standard bike with a very good punch for later on.

the fairing of the hurricane 1000 was awsome tho...from all sportbike era the late 80's and early 90's had the fairing styling that i like the most

Picking up new (and probably last) motorcycle next weekend. Comes standard with xm radio and I purchased my first bluetooth helmet recently. Thought about buying the add on kits but the good ones cost as much as a good helmet! Much easier to buy one with the bluetooth function already built in. Many good ones out there for the money.

Yeah they always where either basketball status symbols or blown dedicated drag bikes.

You can make them into a real comfy sport touring bikes but idk if you can ever remove the nig factor. Unless its a dedicated, competitive drag bike
Id still like one for the sport touring factor tho.

When I had zx9 back in90's I rode my buddies gsxr1100.
I was a scary animal. totally different feel than 9
SMT is such a great bike, pulls from 4k to 8
Only thing about twin is they die off a bit on top side
At my age i prefer twisties rahter tha. 175mph

I've never done a re-paint, but that is my mental answer to the factory paint color offerings that I despise. They seem to have backed off of the trashy repli-racer graphics, at least on bike that I consider. I met a lady once that had an old Concours that she'd had painted a minty turquoise color because the stock gold/beige paint was so awful. Some non-basic color is a dream of mine. Don't get me started on the delicate, unoriginal, and invisible flat black trope.
