Thats what my bike is supposed to look like. Not bad not great either imo. It had a really bad white paint job on it when i got it. even the wheels, which turned out to be that rubber spray coating shit thank god. Now its straight white on top and black on bottom, kinda looks like a skunk. Lol

The flat black is by far the easiest to rattle can though. Haha.

Ive done high gloss from rattle cans that turned out really nice but for the amount of cans it takes plus time sanding you really may as well just have a pro do a real paint job with automotive paint. The automotive paint is much stronger/ way harder to scratch and crack also.

If you're going for a ratbike, or just don't care, flat black makes sense. But that velvety finish shows marring worse than anything and you can't even buff it out. There's a cult that thinks flat black is the coolest thing ever, akin to deliberate rust by automotive tuners silliness.

I've read about people doing the Plasti-dip or using pickup bedliner paint. The latter is heavy. The Plasti-Dip spray is actually fun because you can peel it off when bored and do something else. Honda's signature red offerings are a prime example of why I'd paint a bike.

Yeah idgaf what my shit looks like rly. The white on the lowers and tail piece was all cracked to shit or else i would have just left it.

Plasti dip is cool stuff. I would imagine it can protect factory paint as well as be fun to mess around with. The dip that was on my wheels was pretty thick and kinda hard to peel off so i imagine its pretty tough stuff.

Edit=. Yeah those cars in the link are gay. They all look like they had been in fire then left outdoors. Lol

Honda cbr500. Its obviously not a 400 but honda's are very foregiving in throttle and ride. Itll act like a much slower bike at low rpm.

Ninja300's are a good beginner bike that's what I have. Some people will say start on a 600 I'd disagree. Some people like the R3s but I like the ninjas more after research. Very light and nimble however that can be a problem on the super fast highways but I take my ninja like 80 down a lot of these country rodes and 90+ on some of the bigger ones if you want to get into riding be careful and know that bigger isn't always better.

WTF with that first video? You'd expect a crap rider to run off to the outside of a corner. There were some pretty awful riding lines all around, and as best I can tell this was the front rider turning in sharply in front of the shoulder-hugging guy. I bet they both were braking while leaned over too, a big no-no. Why they were all so close and apparently trying to maintain a staggered formation in tight turns is a mystery.
TBH there are cruiser riders with skills that can make the lummox machines respond impressively. They are rare, but it happens. Not here, obviously.

First time ive seen the second, i like motard bikes but some that ride them are retard.
Its been common for apes to ride around urban areas on slow ass tiny dirt bikes (not motard conversions) and quads doing wheelies. I can't talk shit about the wheelies other than its rly easy to wheelie quads and tiny dirt bikes, and that they think they own the street riding kids machines, and the bikes are probably stolen from kids. Lols

Ok, I've made a few jests about Harleys on this thread but I'll confess the new Iron 883 really caught my eye. I have only owned Italian sportbikes up to this point and am looking for something more comfortable now that I'm older.
Anyone have any experience with these? How is Harley reliability these days?
Please don't tell me it's going to be underwpowered. As long as it keeps up on the highway

Reliability is fine for the most part. With an 883 tho keeping up speed on the highway may be a problem depending on your size. If your anywhere north of 200 pounds its a very slow bike. Especially on grades, no way you want a passenger with you

I have 14" mini apes on my road glide and would not have anything else. It's comfortable for long rides and still I ride it like I stole it. It Corners well and handles well.

I desert raced dirt bikes my entire like and ride everything like I stole it though.

Do these things have low gearing or just not like to rev? The 883 lists as 50hp and 50 ft-lbs of torque. I may be on the lighter side, and every bike I've touched this century has more power, but that torque is higher than anything I've owned and had never had a problem cruising at extralegal highway speeds.

That tq number may be off of the crank, im not sure. My mom has a bone stock 883 with harldy any miles on it. I weigh 215 and altho the bike is fun to ride it struggles pretty hard on the highway. They are geared low, 0-60 is only slow for bike standards, youll still keep up with most sports cars and the fun factor is there.
My 883 has a 1200 top so it makes around 70 hp and with the low gears it hauls ass 0-60. Anything above 80 tho it may as well be tied to a tree.

OK, that makes sense. They just don't design them for real speed. I've heard owners of larger H-D's admit that they stand little chance of doing the ton for more than a few seconds because of crap aerodynamic ergos, low-revving shaky engines, and stump-pulling gearing.
