I know someone who had a few CR and KX 500s. Could hear them from miles away.

I was not experienced enough to handle them. Crazy power to weight ratios.

Just the seat height on those bikes is no joke. You cant just throw a leg over and ride. Lol they are the epitomy of dirt bikes power wise.

Just picked up another old virago. Second one ive had. Its a 750. Id post pics but i just got it and it looks like shit. Im gonna bob it out and throw some tall ape hangers on it in the off season.

Both that sporty and fxr would look and ride 6 million times better with normal bars. The sporty is screaming for lower bar.

Not where im from in kentucky. We dont have many mestizos around here. Guys who rock apes are usually guys you dont wanna fuck with. Its not there for a comfy ride, some get it some dont. Its kind of a shock value thing i guess, they're not for everyone but im a bit of an oddball and usually go against the grain in general.

Ducati's are definitely a lot more costly to run, however once you get one nothing else even comes close, it will definitely sour you on other bikes. I have 2, although both older bikes (70's and 80's models) both off the road at the moment.
Having said that, I own a honda xr650r as well and it's a fucking rocket.

Yeah i mean i get it bro, you dont like that style of handlebars. I happen to like them and never seen a beaner with them but ive never been west. In my experience the spics and niggers like to ride sport bikes.
Either way thats the direction ill be going with my bike. I dont need anyones approval i just do what i like.

I flew off on that and didnt mean dis respect to you. But I rly hate ape hangers. They do look sort of edgy, kinda cool, but more than anything they slow the bike down via rider inability (geometry) of the rider to control the bike at anything more than sedan speeds.

Bikes where made to be fast, not look cool. It just happens they look cool whether they are fast or slow. Thats no reason to slow them down with ornaments.

When it comes to bikes to each his own IMO. I like everything from Hogs to Yamaha YSR50. A good friend of mine was in a club and he commented one one of his friends riding apes and cruising pegs: yeah he looks like a tortured Ethiopian.

I'm over the whole sport bike thing. Fairings, limited turning circles, ergonomics on longer country road rides.... etc. It's just so... "been there done that" to me.

I would rather one of these:

BMW F80GS

BMW F1200GS

Dual purpose bikes FTW.

My last thumper was one of these:

It was a bit of a bitch to start (typical KTM), but was a grunty machine that had you holding on for dear life when going for a brat through the bush. Thank you for not killing me ol' friend!
