Im starting to get over with sport bikes also. However i dont have a prob with steering radius, brake + throttle + nudge with the leg can turn a bike around within its own length. Lol

Triumphs have always been a win. I dont think you can go wrong buying one unless it is a very abused used bike.

Gotcha.
Dirt circle track bars. They have a purpose, dirt track racing. Its nascar, for bikes, on dirt. Haha.
Low set long bars gave more leverage to throw those heavy bikes around and get them to drift.
The factory bar for my sportster is pretty low and very wide, Not as wide as the "beach bars" on a super glide but kinda close.

The Katana was aguably the first actual sport bike produced. With all the fancy fairings and stuff. Iirc Honda's 750 Interceptor was the boss when it came out. It was a few years after the kawi tho.

When i was a kid the Kawi Ninja was the first actual road race copy bike you could buy at a dealer.

Kawi always where on top of the power game untill Suzuki stepped up.

A mainstream motorcycle mag did a write up on a track bike a guy built using a cr500 motor stuffed in a tiny roadrace frame. Running on slicks. Pretty bad ass.

No. Japanese figured out most efficient counter-balances for inline 4s. Porsche paid royalty to a Japanese firm (Mitsubishi?) with the 924, 944 family of engines. (Porsche knows a thing or two about engineering, so it must have been a good solution)

The four cyl Katana engine was a Japanese design, a German team designed the frame and bodywork. The engine is a stressed member IIRC.

On the Kaw triple the engine was a German design, two-stroke triple with a huge power peak. The Japs made a terrible frame and it killed many riders.

Meh. Daytona aint got shit on Gratten, theres no turtles on Daytona.
Turn 3 is a very off camber (both ways) screw. Everywhere there is a number on the map there is sure to be a decent sized snapping turtle sunning himself on the track. Ppl say turtle are slow but they make theyre way onto that track in less than 2 minutes. Lol

Approach is uphill, then falls away into a blind left which immediately turns into a tight right. Downhill and "mind shateringly terrifying ".
