The thing is, if you accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, the only way one can reach God and be saved, exclusively, then you're a Christian and you will go to heaven.
Because you're saved by grace and not by actions. You literally cannot attone for any sin you may have anymore with any kind of sacrifice. That's the core point, someone made that sacrifice for you.
If you deny that or if somehow you follow a doctrine that contradicts this paradigm, then you're not one.
It is really simple to be honest.
I'm not a mystic myself, but if you want to indulge in such things and still be a Christian, refer to the rule above and see if your quasi-religious practice conflicts with it.
