Sure thing. It acts more like a regulator and helps you achieve a normal sleep cycle - sometimes that means a little bit of alertness but other times it gives you a calming effect. You just have to experiment a little bit to find out what's right for you, it's not too finicky and is a very gentle chemical. I take it orally to help manage chronic pain problems by mixing a small amount with water, it's flavorless and odorless.
Many people also report that an even 1:1 ratio of THC-A and CBD produces optimal relaxation effects, but you'll certainly feel some psychoactive properties that are likely undesired (I personally don't like a cloudy mind). However, the effects will be far less than if you just took the same amount of THC-A by itself since CBD counter-balances the psychoactive properties if not eliminates them. This is why stupid hippies complain about high CBD strains not getting them high.
Now for the black pill. CBD was recently placed into Schedule I by the (((DEA))), so you will need a medical marijuana card to acquire it, legally at least. This comes at a massive cost, especially given the current political climate, because federal law prevents medical marijuana patients from buying and carrying firearms, even if you're only taking CBD which has been scientifically proven to have no discernible psychoactive properties by itself.
If you live in a medical marijuana state you can almost certainly buy it under the table at a high quality (99.99%), but I wouldn't advise doing anything illegal.
All that being said, my original suggestion of Valerian root + melatonin + magnesium is far more potent and consistent. These are also much easier to obtain since they aren't quasi-legal.
