Bit of a troll system really. Power sucks here & no AC so and it ain't the best board.. can't overclock the K series. And you read that right, Skylake and DDR3 three sticks.
The 480 is going because 'miners' willing to more than double my investment. RX560 4GB going in as replacement. Troll PC doesn't play nice with NVIDIA. 480 runs faster than the 1080 I tried to replace it with.
Miss my 2500K, sitting at 4.9ghz it beat it's replacement. I blew the board tweaking the BCLK.

When you spend most of your week working (and living) hours away from your actual home, hauling a tower PC, keyboard, mouse, mouse pad, controller, 55" UHD TV, and all associated cables back and forth is kind of retarded.

Towers are great for NEETs, though.

I went laptop a long time ago, but recently decided it would be luxurious to have a lot of speed. I'm loving it. Dual monitors mounted on arms. Top rate tactile feedback keyboard. Quad core PC with 16 gig ram and 7 terabytes of storage internal/external. Plays games too, which wasn't what I needed, but what the hell, installed Steam...

Imagine if you had to work out of town (a few hours away) for 4-5 days every week, though. Would you bother to take all of that with you (and bring it back) each time, and setting it all up?

I have kind of outdated laptop from 2014, but it still runs well so I don't need a new yet + I have a 23' external monitor.

I usually have around 100 tabs opened, now I have 400 open and it lags only when multiple tabs are playing videos (probably v-card can't handle that), but so far 200 tabs of websites are not lagging - I also have suspender plugin enabled which kills tab process after 30 mins of inactivity.
