It´s just what I´ve read. Doesn´t mean it´s true but I do remember watching an actual public service announcement around 15 years ago where they´ve shown that for example salmon was very affected by these worms.
There are ways to scan the fish meat for worms and it´s not like all fish have those worms.
They´re parasites, so it´s not a mutual symbiosis.
Your best bet is to read about it at least and figure out which fish is affected by worms, what type of worms, whether or not they´re harmful and whether and how to scan for worms.
If you need the vitamin D from fish, there is an alternative. Fatty food + sunlight. Our bodies only synthesize vitamin D naturally if we´re consuming fat. It doesn´t have to be animal fat though.
As for Omega 3, eat olives.
Yeah, I know the whole argument with Eskimos not having any sunlight so the yhave to eat fish etc. .
Well, you´re not an Eskimo and don´t live in the far north. <.<
