Well I never judge anyone for not having kids or having loads. I have only 1 myself but get this-she was born on 20th April-not planned that way either! AND my friend's son was born on the very same day! Weird or wyrd or what?
Look at Hitler-no kids, Savitri Devi-no kids. You can contribute in other ways and you never know what the future brings.

So why do people go around threatening and attacking other people in these forums? Is it simply because they have banning power? Because I don't enjoy having to mince words and censor myself. It's taxing, and frankly it hurts the cause as a whole because I am not able to fully contribute. I understand that "advocating illegal activity" is not acceptable, but even that is open to interpretation. "Illegal" could mean 10,000 things, literally, since there are more than 10,000 laws on the books. In some states it's not legal to ride a donkey. You get the jist of what I'm saying I hope....

I do, I am not in favour of censorship full stop. I have to watch what I say because in this country you can go to prison for expressing 'extremist' views. The solution would be to make this a closed forum.

I guess we have to learn and adapt constantly. If there are a lot of bad vibes floating around the forum, I just have to accept that they'll pass like a storm. And be patient. Not my strongest trait though

That's the problem with the Internet. Things get more heated than in offline life.

In real life, you can look at a person's face and tell a lot about them. Their wrinkles, the lines. Are they angry, resentful people? Are they human refuse? There's no way to know on the internet. All you have is a person's words, and even that can be easily disguised to look harmless

Exactly. I saw someone say something about David Lane and I got angry, because it's like "who is this guy and what do I owe him?". And another guy said, "you need to start having a bunch of kids" and I got mad at him. Probably this is more a problem with my own life than it is with people here, but no one is perfect. Point being, I had very little information to go on, and it gets very tiring seeing the level of ignorance of some posters. I mean, I can forgive a certain level of ignorance, but eventually everyone runs out of patience

The other thing to bear in mind that all of us on here have what would be regarded as 'extreme' views and we all probably are a bit more forthcoming and vocal than everyday folk. I am argumentative by nature but I do try not to throw insults at people, that's probably my only good point!
Giving up smoking and drinking can do this-better to give up just one of those things at a time otherwise it gets too intense-been there and done that!

Haha my first instinct is to throw an insult. It's a debate tactic I learned from a skilled friend. He was never good at arguing, but because of his pointed and cutting insults, the other debater usually backed down and conceded. But I don't know if that's an acceptable form of debate. It seems it's pretty much universally considered cheap to throw insults. Haven't quite shaken the habit though

As a side note, in any debate where "insults" are prohibited, the workaround is just to attack a person's character or use insinuation, so I think a wholesale ban on insults would be fruitless

Yep, it's all about self control. One of the worst places for that was on VNN where I used to post 10 years ago. VNN UK was like a rough drinking den where there would be a mass brawl or virtual brawl every evening!
