You're giving your self far too much importance and have came in immediately trying to dominate the meet-up.

It's the same on all forums - keyboard activists constantly criticise those actively working toward something in the real world. They get angry that they're lazy and/or don't know what to do to help so they get angry at us by saying that we're doing everything wrong all the time and that they've got it all sussed from their basement. We've extracted those who are worth something from this thread, and anyone reading this who knows themselves to be more than a cyber-nazi is free to get in touch with us, preferably via nascotland@tutanota.com, for real-life activism and not just arguing with idiots on a forum.

Like you, I was obviously nervous about meeting up. However, the book club is a forum to arrange to meet up with readers of the DS and share opinions and what we have in common. As i said i arranged the meet and a number of guys that turned up were from NA. No salutes, no grandstanding just friendly discussion of shared values. Id he happy to meet up with you likewise. Perhaps scared was provocative. So, how about a week today in Edinburgh after work? Just a pint different opinions welcome.

I wasn't being critical of NA whatsoever.

I laid my cards out on the table and was honest about myself, to ask if the invidual people meeting up (not NA) would want me at a meet up because I'm not some Hitler-worshiper.

HaggiSS bizarrely insinuated that I like butt sex with men and that having differing opinions to NA would lead to being deported to Africa!

It was at that point that I shared criticism / questions over NA.

We've extracted those who are worth something from this thread
