The Trump administration has changed the focus of a Department of Homeland Security immigrant citizenship training program managed by USCIS to “assimilation,” a significant shift from the Obama era focus on “integration.”
The difference being that integration means that the society must bend over backwards to accommodate the newcomers, whereas assimilation means that they must surrender to our ways and adapt to us.
“Both funding opportunities aim to prepare lawful permanent residents for naturalization and promote civic assimilation through increased knowledge of English, U.S. history, and civics. Through these two funding opportunities, USCIS will offer up to $10 million in competitive funding for citizenship preparation programs in communities across the country,” the announcement said.
This move has a flavor of nationalism and a foul taste of open border cuckout all in one.
The good part of this is that it will weed out the incompatibles who will be unable to give up their barbaric ways and assimilate like Muslim rats and niggers. Not only are they too feral and retarded to assimilate into another culture, but they are actively opposed to it and opt instead to conquer us - as prominent Muslims like the hideous Linda Sarsour have said:

We are never to cower to the powers that be, we are never to give up any part of our identity so somebody else can open a door for us. If a door does not open, guess what we do? We build a new door and walk through our own door, because we have that right in this country to also open opportunities for us and other communities.

Only westerners who already have a similar culture will be able to transition into Americans smoothly. No longer will white communities be forced to swallow the social poison of "moral relativism" that allows them to accept Sharia Law and rationalize the presence of gang-raping rats.
The bad part is that rather than changing immigration law to have an explicitly racial basis, he opted instead to base it on implicit whiteness - the ability to assimilate with fellow whites. This means that verminous kikes and even some exceptionally intelligent niggers and muslims will be able to slip through the system - and a lot of these people have already been somewhat westernized by living in European countries for years. Moreover, we are incentivizing legal immigration by paying for this assimilation program with our tax dollars. I should not have to pay for some immigrant to come to the country, that should be upon them white or not. The very few non-whites who can make it through the immigration system will be more likely to come when they find out that it has just been made easier. At least they will be fuckin' BASED!
All things considered, this move seems a little out of priority. The wall still hasn't been built, illegal beaners have not been totally cleansed, and the refugee population is still greater than zero for some reason - helping legal immigrants assimilate is the least of our worries on the demographic front.
