John Smith is a real character to root for as well!

I really enjoyed this show! funny how you're obviously supposed to root for the "resistance" and yet the world ruled by the Ebil Nazis looks sooo cool, lol. also funny is how the guy with the strongest family values and an admiral charater is John Smith.

but yeah, great show. obviously some parts are Jewed in order to satisfy the obligatory kike-lies and propaganda quota, but other than that, it's good.

That's where the whole title of 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep' comes from. Dick was inspired by a line from a WW2 diary where one of the Einzsatsgruppen wrote 'The crying children (Jews) are keeping me awake at night'.

That film (and the book) is an allegory for the Blade Runner's (Anti-Partisan Death Squads) hunting Jewish terrorists, misfits and rebels from off-world. Incidentally off-world colonies of Europeans are (complete with slave labor of the replicants (Jews) where we all are and down on earth it's largely ZOG paradise!

Maybe K Dick wasn't in on the whole picture, but that film is on whole new level when you analyze the fashy undertones that it's origins are a part of.

i hadn't thought of that - but your explanation does explain why - when I saw the movie for the first time a couple years ago - I literally wept when the Hauer 'robot' died and was angry at the Ford character for killing him.

I also didn't care at all that Ford got the weird girl in the end. She made me uncomfortable and I didn't understand why, except that she was a robot - turns out she was a high functioning one, a better brand than the Hauer model who had limitations, who's warranty would elapse. That bitch could live forever and it pissed me off.

Now I understand the emotions that were stirred up in me that were at odds with the concept of the story..

That actual story line does make it anti-fash in that aspect BUT the fact it is set in a quasi-fascistic universe shows another side too.

Then there's the fact there was more than one ending and the possibility that the protagonist is in fact a possible crypto.

Also, the Hauer character I see more of a Nordic chaotic rebel who was sick of being off world and fighting in combat. So wanted to go a-viking back on earth.

There's a sequel to Bladerunner coming out this year I think. Will be interesting to see what they do with it.

In the book the character of Rachel is pretty gloomy, sultry and a bit shameless Jewessy in her bed chamber ways.

Much less noble than the film portrayal of her, which is where Decker is the more aggressive sexually in opposite to the book.

I've always considered the setting to be pure Libertarian "Utopia". Dirty, crowded, multi-cultural, overbearing cops but tons crime, sex, drugs, etc.

Yes, down on earth, or at least in LA and the East Coast that's how I see the Blade Runner world.

But reading between the lines the Off-world colonies have left behind the grime and pollution of the over-crowded, almost animal-less world to make their own better one. You can see it in the adverts and tantilizing shows now and then.

The only thing is they missed the boat for whatever reason and are stuck in the mire.
