I need to quit too.
Starting to bother me, never used to, even though I do more water, vitamins, and minerals now with a better diet, mostly veggies and meats.
Had a very active job moving heavy stuff all day, and lifted weights. Even got my second black belt as a smoker.

Time to quit.
Talked to a guy last week who swore by his vaper, and quit for over a year. Gave me hope.

I managed to use this to quit. I tried those e-cigs; they do not work at all, and it would be expensive to replace cigs with those because they don't last very long at all (and, they are too weak to really satisfy). You have to get a proper vaporizer, the kind that produces large clouds. For a couple of months I was smoking and vaping just to see if it could get my cig consumption under control - I hadn't really thought to quit, or at least, not just yet. Then one day I went fishing and forgot to get cigs so I just had the vaporizer for a few days and it was no problem at all, no nic fit, just a kind of weird feeling because it was so different on the first day. So I just didn't buy any more cigs. It was that easy.

The one thing that I do find challenging is that mine has to be kept upright or it will leak. This can be difficult if you are in the bush or something.

And some people say that vapers go for big clouds just to "look cool".

Maybe some do, but it's not about that.

Gotta have the same "rough" feel on the throat that cigarettes create, or it isn't quite the same.

And that takes a lot of vapor.

Yeah, when you're first coming off smokes it's all about the throat hit. Later it starts to be about taste.

In the same boat. Switched to vaping and have been reducing the nicotine level slowly while also hitting it less.

What sort of tank are you using? Do you build your own coils?

I asked for a cheaper one (this one was about $60 CAD, including some extra coils and a tiny amount of juice) that would still deliver a good throat hit, this is what they sold me and I'm very happy with it other than the business of having to keep it upright. That was not an issue when I bought it - I didn't realize I'd be able to quit so easily, I just got it to stop chain-smoking when I'm on the computer.

What is the point of the DIY stuff? Is it cheaper, better, or just fun?

For me building coils and stuff helped because it was another hobby, and I like to understand how everything works. I can build a coil to whatever resistance I want, and if I rewick every week or so a DIY coil will last for months. I enjoy it although it can be a pain in the arse sometimes.

When was the last time you replaced the coil [head] on yours? Sounds like the little wick inside the stock coil is fucked. Either that or there's an O-ring come loose somewhere. On a rebuildable tank that's a minor issue bc the tank is designed to be regularly taken apart and O-rings can be easily changed, but on something like yours unfortunately it will mean buying a new tank.

The tank isn't leaking, it's just how this model is. If you tip it, there is nothing to stop the juice from going into the airpipe and then seeping out the air intake holes. It's fine as long as it doesn't go on horizontal.

Ah, right. I see. Wish I could recommend something but I only really know about rebuildables these days.

I've got the same one ijust s black crackle mine started leaking from the air holes today so I pulled it apart and the coil was a little loose I snuged it back up and hasn't leaked again yet it seems to work good the coils can be swapped with atlantis ones I think
