I don't "listen to my wife about political matters". I discuss a wide range of topics with her because she has an incisive, intelligent and highly rational mind, and she has consistently proven herself to have accurate insight into human nature and give excellent advice. Things are really fucked up these days. If we are talking about marrying and having children (which should be the goal), the Jews have fucked that up by wrecking the expectations of both men and women. She would be safe under her father until she is married and then she would busy herself in her natural role as wife and mother. Her position, role and femininity would be respected and honored. But I think you misunderstand "coverture". Coverture is designed to limit the State in ways that effect the family by emphasizing the husband's rights and preventing the State from having direct contact with his wife and children. This safeguards the husband's authority and protects the wife and children. But, just because a husband may hit his wife without the State interfering, that does not mean that no one would interfere. She can still seek protection and recourse in instances of abuse, ideally from her father-in-law. A just society will not tolerate a husband who abuses his wife. In his abuse, he is undermining his wife's God-given right to be loved by her husband.
