Donations are a failed business model. I've never seen a site dependent on donations show any financial growth, be able to take on staff, replace failing hardware let alone expand their server capacity.
A paywall would solve all these issues, you just have the issue of deciding what its ethical to restrict behind it. The content here is designed for mass distribution, recruiting. You'd want to put stuff with mostly entertainment value behind the wall and I'm not sure the current staff of writers have time to write up extra content.
There are three ways forward I see right now:
1. A wealthy donor, aka one of us who gets a business off the ground, with any luck employing /ourguys/. Would be good for marketing(to a pro-white audience.)
2. Welfare from other pro-white sites whose content is easier to charge for. Entertainment/Merch. Basically the above but as a strict % of sales, a kind of crosspromotion deal.
3. New writers need to volunteer to write new content which it would be appropriate to charge for. Or the DS could host videos for shoaded YT channels. Takes a damn lot of server to host video, that's a large scale operation.
