What's your favourite video downloader?

Recently I went on TubeOffline to download a YT video.

As soon as I pasted the address in I got malware that froze my PC!

I waited about a week before trying that site again but the same thing happened with the same malware.

I'm sure I've used TubeOffline many times before and found it excellent. Not anymore apparently?

This malware was a bitch to get rid of. I had to download several free antivirus software and do scan after scan.

I wish I could get my hands on the people that create that shit.

Figure out how to use it and you'll be glad you did. It works almost everywhere. It's really not hard to use. Most of the options you'd might want to include are set to a desirable value as the default. For the most part you just need to execute the command youtube-dl with the argument of the URL where the video is located. If you're on linux, for example: $ youtube-dl https://jewtube.com/somevideo
Probably roughly the same for Windows.

For Windows, try Freemake. Just ensure you uncheck the shitware that comes bundled with the installer. Otherwise, good program.

I use Linux primarily, so XVST is my go to tool. It's available for Mac and Windows too.

youtube-dl. The version in apt is usually horribly outdated so I just save the binary version to /usr/local

Freemake is the one I have been using for ages with no issues.

Just keep it updated and there should be no problem.

Downloading Youtube Videos to iPhone

1: Download "Documents 5: File Manager" app.
2: Open app and use safari search (bottom right corner) to get to savefrom.net.
3: Paste a Youtube video URL into the download bar.
4: Download and play video.
